Who we work with
We partner with a wide range of private landowners, including:
Families with inherited or long-held timberland looking to generate income while protecting the property.
Individuals who have recently purchased land as an investment, hunting property, or future homesite.
Farmers with wooded acreage alongside crop or pasture ground.
Landowners planning to sell, subdivide, or develop part of their property in the coming years.
Whether you own 15 acres or several hundred, our job is to help you understand your options and make decisions that align with your goals for both income and land stewardship.
One partner for your timber, your land, and your next step
Most landowners are used to working with multiple companies, one for a management plan, another to buy the timber, a third to do the logging, and yet another for land clearing or site work. That adds complexity, cost, and room for miscommunication.
Timberline is structured differently. Under one company, you have access to:
When it makes sense to call us
If you are not sure where your property falls, a short conversation and a site visit can clarify whether a harvest or management work makes sense today, or whether it makes more sense to wait.

Our typical timber buying profile
Through Timberline Forest Products, we act as a direct buyer of standing timber. That means we are both the buyer and the harvester, which simplifies the process and can improve the financial outcome for landowners.
· Acreage: We generally focus on tracts of around 15 acres and up. We will sometimes evaluate smaller tracts when timber quality, access, and logistics support a profitable harvest.
· Location: Based in Angier, North Carolina (Johnston County area), we serve landowners across NC, VA, SC, and GA. If your property is in central or eastern North Carolina, there is a good chance we already have crews working near you.
A process built around your goals
Frequently asked questions
Do you work with smaller landowners, or only large industrial tracts?
A core part of our business is partnering with private landowners families, farmers, and individual property owners, regardless of size. If you have timber worth evaluating, we are interested.
What is the minimum acreage you require?
As a general guideline, we focus on tracts of around 15 acres or more. However, if you have a smaller tract with strong timber quality and good access, we are still happy to take a look and give you an honest answer.
Can you help me qualify for the PUV tax program in North Carolina?
Yes. Our Forest Management team creates the written management plans required to qualify for Present Use Value classification and the property tax savings that come with it.
What if I want to develop or sell my land after the harvest?
Our Contracting division can handle clearing, demolition, grading, and site preparation so your property is ready for its next use, whether that is a homesite, subdivision, or commercial project.
